Here is a post on the views of my group members on how they balance their cca and studies.
For John(myself)-I am in scouts and my CCA dates are on wednesday and on Friday. Usually the meetings end at 6.30pm but can be dragged on an extra hour or so. So by the time I reach home, I will be exhausted and the whole day will be gone. Usually I do not do studies on these days. As for the other days I try to make the most of it by doing my homework and other work such as assesments and projects by going online and discussing with my friends. I feel that I have to cope with my CCA and attend meetings as it is a very important part of my secondary school life as it not only helps at the end of secondary school but it helps me make new friends and gain new skills.

For Wan Hsien- My CCA is choir and the practices are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays the duration is two hours. I feel that CCA and studies are equally important as my CCA is only held on two days I have plenty of time to set aside for studies. And during this time that I study or attend my CCA I have to try my best to concentrate.

For Jan-My CCA is scouts and it is held on Wednesday and Friday. I attend my CCA regularly but I do not do my own home studying. I do my best to concentrate during lessons and get the most out of it so that my studies will be good even without studying at home.

For Joe-I feel that to study properly you have to rest properly. As my CCA is physically demanding, I always take a short break after I have my dinner. My CCA is long and and usually ends late, so most of my time in the weekdays are taken up. As this is so I use all the time I have in the weekends to study. I also use the little time I have in the weekdays to study and catch up on what I have lagged behind.

For Daniel-As I have no CCA currently I have alot of time to study so this is not much of a problem. However having no CCA is not a good thing as it can affect the O levels marks at the end of my four years so right now I am trying to find a CCA that I can join and settle down in.

I will find out how Jung Woo balances his CCA and studies very soon and I will be sure to edit the post.

Ngee Ann secondary was started by the Ngee Ann Kongsi, a Teochew clan foundation. Set up in 1994, Ngee Ann Secondary was conceptualized as a successive link to the now defunct Tuan Mong High School which closed in that same year.
It is located in 1, Tampines Street 32 Singapore 529283. Right next to the Tampines East Community Centre.
There are many buses that go to the school such as bus services 3, 8, 9, 12, 17, 18, 19, 21, 28, 37, 38, 39, 81, 291, 293, 518. coming from four main routes tampines street 32, tampines avenue 8(not sure of since the sign is being blocked), tampines street 23 and tampines street 21.
The bus services there make it convinient for students who live in Pasir Ris and streets nearby the school to get to the school. Although we can's say the same for people who live in further areas such as marine parade. However bus 12 is an extremely good bus service as is links all the way from areas such as marine parade and the bayshore all the way to Pasir Ris interchange making it convinient for students who live in further areas such as the Bayshore and marine parade to get to the school.
Hopefully this post has been highly informative of how to get to Ngee Ann Secondary for those of you who are not sure how. I will be sure to post more about the area around the school such as tampines mall and important places in the area after some research.
yours sincerely,
John
